This is a living document that takes time to develop, so building it in sections is often the most effective approach. In Miro, use shapes to map the end-to-end flow of work—from the moment a customer places an order through to final delivery.

To highlight immediate opportunities, colour the box : 

Green for steps that are working well

Orange for steps where performance is uncertain or variable

Red for known bottlenecks (paired with supporting notes for additional context)

Use a supporting text document for additional details on steps the need ajustments 

Once the full process is mapped, use the TIMWOODS framework to audit each step for operational waste and make targeted adjustments.

Make a duplicate copy of the map, this will be the base of your Future State Map
